“Defeat, desperation, and depression. These three words became synonymous with my life after the second year of college. Being a computer science student with absolutely no coding background meant that I needed to put in double the efforts. However, even after the efforts, I failed thrice and got backlogs in subjects like Programming, Data Structures, and Advanced Programming. I couldn’t sit for the on-campus placement due to my poor academic results. During that time, I tried applying to internships but only faced rejection. It left me disappointed, and I stopped applying further.

It was then one of my college seniors recommended that I do an online training to help understand the topics and better my chances of securing an internship. I did some research and enrolled for an Android Development training. The flexibility offered by an online training was an advantage. I could study for as long as I wanted according to my own schedule which helped me in managing the college work. Moreover, the free Placement Preparation Training gave many handy interview tips and taught me the intricacies of writing impressive cover letters. I started devoting a lot of hours on this regularly. The training helped me understand the basics and gave me an in-depth knowledge about the subject and I subsequently topped my exams in the next semester and cleared my backlogs!

After the successful completion of my training, I reworded my resume and began applying to internships once again; this time I got selected for 4 out of the 5 internships I had applied to. My dashboard that earlier showed ‘Not selected’ now showed ‘Hired’ or ‘In Touch’ and I had the option to choose.

I started working with a startup as an Intern and based on my performance, I was offered a full-time job, which I took. I am currently a senior Android Developer at the same company.

This is the story of Priya Raghav, a Computer Science graduate and how she changed the course for her life through E-learning.

Every year, 15 Lac+ Engineering students graduate and most of them have a similar story. Like Priya, they find it difficult to find a direction to their academic career. The reason could be a backlog, not having sufficient knowledge about the subject, not a proper guidance from the faculty etc. What if we were to tell you that there is a plausible solution to the problem? — E-learning.

E-learning is a learning system based on formalized teaching but with the help of electronic resources and this has made the long and tedious journey of conventional learning, a cakewalk.

During engineering, most of the students face the problem of not getting their questions answered in class or having no idea about the topic being taught or wishing to explore new opportunities. E-learning can make the difference. The cost of a training is affordable and offers trainings for both technical (Web Development, Android App Development, Programming with Python etc.) as well as management (Business Communication Skills, Advance Excel, Digital Marketing etc.) skills.

A training will provide you with an in-depth knowledge about a subject through assignments and will also give you an opportunity to learn new skills or hone the already acquired. As an opportunity to test all that you have learned, you will be assigned a project (an e-commerce website for Web Development Training, an app for Android Development and so on). The knowledge earned will even help you score well in exams. Also, during a training, if you have any doubts, you can easily reach out to support or the expert to get your queries answered.

On the successful completion of the training, you will receive a certificate that will boost your resume and put you ahead in the curve. It will provide you with the confidence to ace an interview for a job or an internship.

With the technologically changing time and less number of opportunities, it is essential to stay up to date with latest technologies to make sure you represent the best version yourself to the employers.
