Symphony is the annual cultural festival of K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai. Widely known as one of the most popular cultural festivals in the country, it is celebrated across the 62- acre campus of Somaiya Vidyavihar. This year, it will be celebrated from 6th to 9th of February 2019.
Last year, it had a footfall of over 15000 and witnessed an outreach of more than 40000. The festival has a remarkable legacy as it has been graced by eminent personalities and artists like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Hariharan, Ustad Sultan Khan, Anu Malik, Aditi Singh Sharma among others. Symphony 2018 was celebrated on an extraordinary scale and had been graced by Bollywood composer and singer, Amit Trivedi, international DJ, Lost Stories, and comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath. Symphony 2019 promises to be grander than before with an amazing lineup of artists. Renowned bollywood music composer duo, Vishal-Shekhar, TVF-fame comedian, Vipul Goyal, and popular DJ artist, DJ Shaan and the band Kabir Cafe are set to perform at Symphony 2019. Syahi, the literary and design festival of the college will be celebrated on the 6th and 8th of February 2019 as a sub-event to Symphony. This will be Syahi’s second edition and the key highlights of Syahi 2019 shall be a screenplay writing workshop conducted by Bhavani Iyer, the screenwriter of critically acclaimed movies like Raazi, Black, Guzaarish, etc., panel session, speaker session, art exhibits, interactive workshops, etc. With an awe-inspiring lineup of artists and enticing events, Symphony 2019 is sure to mesmerise everyone.
