IEEE IGDTUW has always worked in direction of promoting women in technology. Coming from an all girls engineering college makes us more encouraged in order to fulfill aim of IEEE society and include more women members under IEEE umbrella.
We take immense pleasure in organizing WIEMPOWER in IGDTUW campus on 26-27 MARCH’19. The event is a two day affair that includes workshop, speaker sessions and competitions open for all colleges to come and participate.
The day will start with speaker session which will be women oriented highlighting women achievers in various fields of work. We have with us Dr.Shabana Urooj(assistant professor,department of electrical engineering,Gautam Buddha university) and Ms. Vishakha Bhatnagar( currently heading corporate strategy ) as our guest speakers to motivate and inspire audience.
Then technical workshops will be conducted for students by reputed companies and organizations which will surely enhance their skills and provide them with a learning and hands on experience.The topics of workshop are as follows:
- DATA SCIENCE
- IMAGE PROCESSING USING OPEN CV
The topics are selected as per recent technologies and their demand in industry.
To instill competitive spirit, IDEATHON is organized that will test problem solving skills of students and will urge them to think out of the box.
The event will be concluded by thanksgiving and a valedictory ceremony.
