The list shows that most of the ranked IIITs are performing better than the previous year. This is a good sign and indicates that the IIITs are growing year by year. Many other IIITs are pretty new, so they could not fix their place in this list.

Both IIIT Guwahati and Sri City are of equivalent status. You can choose the one base on your place preference. The placement of IIIT Lucknow IT is seen to be very good. So, undoubtedly the CS (starting 2019) can be predicted as good.

With this rank, it is difficult to get a seat in any of the NIT or IIIT. But you can definitely try for the special rounds both in NITs and IIITs. In my opinion, you must get a seat in some of them in special rounds.

You can my preference order of IIITs as below. In my opinion, you should get any of the IIIT only except IIIT Allahabad, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Kancheepuram. You might not get a seat in other IIITs in the initial rounds, but would get a seat in later rounds. You can get a seat in IIIT Bhagalpur, Manipur and Una in initial rounds as well.

Your home state NIT is NIT Durgapur. Here there is very less hope of getting CSE with your rank and an extreme borderline scope of getting ECE. Of-course, you might get other branches in your home state NIT. In few of the north eastern NITs you might get CSE / ECE.

With the mentioned rank, it is very difficult to get into any NIT or IIIT. Your home state NIT is NIT Calicut, which is very much competitive.
So, according to my opinion, you should try for IIIT Manipur and IIIT Bhagalpur or state GFTIs.

I an hopeful that you shouls get NIT KKR ECE/IT till the end of counselling. I am even hopeful, you might get NIT KKR CSE as well. NIT KKR Mechanical branch might not be the best but can be considered good. If you have interest in public sectors or automobile industry or a MBA from industrial or production specialization, then you must go for it. You can find good opportunity in CAD industry as well.
Finally, it depends on your interest, where you want to build your career. All the very best!

I am getting ece branch in nit Patna , cse in iiit sri city, ece in iiit jabalpur so which should I opt for?
Also, there is a branch change provision in nit Patna so assuming that I get cs after one year , is it better than iiit’s cse.
My final aim is to do MS from some foreign university uptill the time I move out I need to have decent job opportunity too (placement) ,please suggest the way forward. If there is any other better option then also please suggest

If you are from the North-Eastern states then try for your home state NIT. Otherwise, try state GECs or good private universities.

You can only get Computer Science in the NITs in the North-Eastern states. There is a chance in other new NITs such as NIT Goa, Puducherry or few old NITs such as Raipur, Hamirpur if you belong to the same state.
