Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) have been the recent focus of the government to promote the study of information technology in the country. Though first IIIT (IIIT Gwalior) came into existence in the year of 1997, the expansion of this brand has been done in the last 3 years. Many IIITs have been set up to accelerate the dream of Digital India.
The level of education in IIITs are equivalent to the education of IITs. So, there is a big race between students to join IIITs.
