Started in July 2008, as a part time hobby to help people of Delhi NCR to find out on their favorite food being offered by which restaurant and what price, Zomato entered into talks with many private equity and strategic investors from around the world, and expanded overseas at a scorching speed. From mere paranthawalas to swanky food joints, Zomato has it all, be it reviews and ratings, menus, pictures, maps and contacts of various restaurants.
This Godzilla of a foodie app was founded by Deepinder (Integrated Masters in Mathematics and Computing from IIT Delhi) and Pankaj (Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi).

The Viral Fever, popularly known as TVF, is the brain child of Arunabh Kumar and took birth in the year 2010. A master degree holder in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, Arunabh had always an inclination for theater and direction. Before starting TVF, he had worked as an assistant director of the movie Om Shanti Om. TVF has occupied a special position in the hearts of Indian youth by the fantastic drama series like “Permanent Roommate”, “TVF Pitchers” etc.

Sachin Bansal & Binny Bansal | Co-Founders, Flipkart
No wonder Flipkart is the name which deserves to be in the list under this section. After quitting Amazon.com, Sachin and Binny, both alumni of IIT Delhi co-founded Flipkart in 2007. Started as an online bookselling portal, Flipkart now covers wide variety of products. Within a very short span of time Flipkart grew up exponentially and employs more than 30,000 people.

Rahul Yadav & group | Co-Founders, Housing
A half engineer, Rahul Yadav, known as “bad boy of Indian Startups”, along with his eleven other co-founders started housing.com in the year 2012. Though Yadav went through lot of controversies in recent time and forced to quit housing.com; due to its fantastic business model housing.com was able to raise lot of fund initially. This Mumbai based real estate search portal now finds its existence in more than 50 cities in India. The portal allows the customers to search for housing based on gephy, number of rooms, budget and various other filters.
